What Is the Case About?
Between April 2023 and September 18, 2024, unauthorized individuals accessed Lemonade’s online insurance quote platform and obtained personal information — including driver’s license numbers — from approximately 190,000 people. The consolidated lawsuit asserts negligence, Driver’s Privacy Protection Act violations, and New York General Business Law §349 claims. Lemonade denies wrongdoing.
Who Qualifies?
All U.S. residents whose personal information was compromised and who received a breach notification (mailed April–June 2025).
How Much Can You Get?
- Up to $10,000 for documented, unreimbursed losses incurred on or after April 1, 2023
- A pro rata cash payment from remaining settlement funds
- Three years of automatic credit monitoring and up to $1 million identity-theft insurance (no claim needed)
