Sealy 1250 Thread Count Bedding $750K Class Action Settlement

If you purchased Sealy 1250 thread count bedding products anywhere in the United States between October 19, 2016 and October 30, 2025, you may be eligible for $5 per product (up to $40 without proof) from a $750,000 class action settlement.

Claim Deadline: May 12, 2026 | No Proof Required for Up to 8 Products

What is the Sealy 1250 Thread Count Bedding Class Action About?

You may be part of a new $750,000 class action settlement reached with Sealy, a popular mattress, bedding and textiles company. The class action lawsuit was filed over allegations that certain Sealy branded bedding products were falsely advertised as having a 1250 thread count.

The class action claimed that the thread count and quality of these products were overstated on the packaging and marketing materials in violation of federal and state consumer protection laws. The Sealy brand is owned by American Textile Company, which agreed to the settlement, but has not admitted any wrongdoing.

The settlement covers Sealy bedding products with a listed 1250 thread count, including but not limited to the following lines:

  • Ultimate Indulgence
  • Premium Comfort
  • Cool Comfort
  • Premium Cooling
  • Superior Cooling

Who Qualifies for a Payout?

You are included in the settlement if you purchased one or more covered Sealy 1250 thread count bedding products anywhere in the United States between October 19, 2016 and October 30, 2025. The products must have had 1250 thread count listed on the packaging and fall within the Sealy branded lines described above or similar Sealy bedding advertised as 1250 thread count.

Purchases for resale or other commercial purposes may not qualify. The settlement focuses on consumer purchases for personal use in the United States.

What Types of Items Are Included?

The settlement applies broadly to bedding products, including but not limited to:

  • Bedsheets
  • Pillowcases
  • Sheet sets
  • Cooling sheet sets
  • Other Sealy branded bedding advertised as 1250 thread count

The key requirement is the 1250 thread count labeling, not the specific model name.

Which Products Are NOT Included?

  • Products without 1250 thread count on the packaging
  • Products outside the purchase period
  • Non-Sealy branded bedding
  • Mattresses or other non-textile bedding items

How Much Can I Get Paid?

Settlement Class Members can receive $5 for each covered product purchased during the class period.

  • You can claim up to 8 products per household without proof of purchase, for a maximum of $40 without documentation.
  • With proof of purchase (receipts, online order confirmations), you can claim an unlimited number of eligible products at $5 each.

Because the settlement fund is capped at $750,000, payments may be adjusted up or down on a pro rata basis depending on the total number of valid claims approved and the amount left after attorneys’ fees, costs, and administration expenses.

How to File a Claim

To get a payment, submit a valid Claim Form by the deadline. There are two ways to file:

  • File online at the official settlement website by completing the electronic Claim Form and certifying the number of eligible Sealy 1250 thread count products you purchased.
  • File by mail by downloading a paper Claim Form and mailing the completed form to the Settlement Administrator at the address listed in the official notice.

If you wish to claim more than eight products, you will need to attach proof of purchase.

Important Dates

  • Exclusion Request Deadline: January 21, 2026
  • Objection Deadline: January 21, 2026
  • Final Approval Hearing: February 11, 2026
  • Claim Form Deadline: May 12, 2026

Dates can change by order of the Court, so always confirm the most current dates on the official settlement website.

Is Proof of Purchase Required?

No, proof is not required for smaller claims. You can receive up to $40 per household without proof of purchase by claiming up to eight products at $5 each and certifying your purchases under penalty of perjury.

If you want to claim more than eight products, you will need proof of purchase. Acceptable proof can include receipts, order confirmations, or other documentation that reasonably shows you bought covered Sealy 1250 thread count bedding products during the class period.

When Will Payments Be Issued?

There is no fixed payment date yet. The Court must first hold the Final Approval Hearing on February 11, 2026 and decide whether to grant final approval. If approved and there are no appeals, payments will be made after the settlement becomes final and all claims have been processed.

What Are My Options?

  • Submit a Claim: File a claim by May 12, 2026 to receive a payment if eligible.
  • Do Nothing: You will not receive a payment and will be bound by the settlement if approved.
  • Opt Out: The exclusion deadline was January 21, 2026.
