A $5 million class action settlement has been reached against Dapper Labs for allegedly sharing users’ video viewing data with third parties including Meta, Google, TikTok, and Snapchat without consent, violating the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA). Users of NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, Disney Pinnacle, UFC Strike, and La Liga Golazos may be eligible for up to $5 each.

What Is This Settlement About?
The lawsuit alleged Dapper Labs embedded tracking pixels from Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Microsoft, X, and Reddit on its NFT platform websites. These pixels allegedly shared users’ video viewing activity with those companies without obtaining consent, violating the Video Privacy Protection Act.

You may qualify if you had an active account on any of these Dapper Labs platforms between June 15, 2020 and January 30, 2025:

How Much Can You Receive?
Up to $5 per eligible claimant. Payments will be distributed via Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo within 45 days after final settlement approval. You must file a claim — no automatic payments.
