How to File a Claim Form for a Clothing Return Policy Settlement

If you are in Settlement Subclass B, file online through the Submit Claim portal at ReturnSettlement.com. Mailed claim forms must be postmarked by December 1, 2026, the same deadline for opt-outs and objections. This settlement resolves claims in In re: Amazon Return Policy Litigation, No.

2:23-cv-01372-JNW in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. The case alleges certain Amazon return and refund practices violated Washington consumer-protection and other laws.

Do You Need to File?

Only Settlement Subclass B members must submit an eligible claim form to receive payment. Settlement Subclass A members receive payment automatically and do not need to file, according to ReturnSettlement.com.

The class covers people who started an Amazon return or requested a refund for a physical product received in the U.S. This includes clothing returns that were never refunded, paid late, paid short, or re-charged. That description comes from the Angeion Group announcement in the settlement administrator announcement.

How Do You File Online or by Mail?

Subclass B claimants file online through the Submit Claim portal at ReturnSettlement.com or by mail. Online and postmarked mailed claims are due by December 1, 2026, according to court records on the important documents page.

You can request a paper claim form and get help from Angeion Group, the court-appointed administrator. Call 1-888-553-4246 or write to Amazon Return Policy Litigation Settlement Administrator, 1650 Arch Street Suite 2210, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The settlement FAQs list this contact for help.

  • Select Submit Claim and enter your Notice ID
  • Confirm your return and contact information
  • Submit online or print and mail before the deadline

What Should You Check Before Filing?

Check your emailed or mailed notice for your subclass and Notice ID before filing. Keep return tracking numbers and refund records with your copy of the claim. Update your address with the administrator after filing so payment can reach you.

Do not confuse this case with the separate FTC Amazon Prime settlement. That FTC case pays eligible customers automatically. This returns case still requires a claim for Subclass B, according to the Federal Trade Commission in the FTC Amazon refunds page.

When Will Payments Arrive?

Amazon denies wrongdoing and the court has made no finding of liability. The settlement is proposed until final approval, so no payments issue before the court acts.

The court will consider final approval at a hearing on March 16, 2027, according to ReturnSettlement.com in the official settlement site update. Wait for approval before expecting payment.
