To claim your share of the $325,000 Starbucks settlement, mail the paper claim form from your postcard notice, postmarked by Dec. 2, 2026.
There is no online claim form, so a mailed form is the only way to get paid. COBRA continuation coverage lets former employees and family members temporarily keep employer health coverage after a qualifying event. According to the Settlement Administrator, this settlement resolves claims that Starbucks sent a deficient COBRA notice.

Who qualifies for payment?
According to the Settlement Administrator, the class includes Health and Vision Plan members and other beneficiaries sent a COBRA notice after a qualifying event. The notice period runs from July 21, 2016 through Jan. 1, 2023.
Raphyr Lubin sued Starbucks Corp. in case 8:20-cv-01311-CEH-TGW in the Middle District of Florida. Only members who did not elect continuation coverage qualify for payment. Starbucks denies liability, and the court has made no finding of wrongdoing, according to the Settlement Administrator.
- You were a U.S. Welfare Benefits Plan participant or beneficiary.
- You received a COBRA notice after a qualifying event in the date range.
- You are not bound by Starbucks' arbitration agreement.
- You did not elect COBRA continuation coverage.
How much could you receive?
The Settlement Administrator states on the official settlement site that the fund totals $325,000 for about 33,800 class members. After administrative costs, the balance is divided equally among valid claimants.
OpenClassActions estimates the practical payout at about $30 to $74 after costs. More valid mail claims means smaller individual shares. Filing a valid claim is the only way to receive a share.
How do you file by mail?
The Settlement Administrator states on its key dates page that mailed forms must be postmarked by Dec. 2, 2026. Use the paper form that arrived with your postcard notice.
There is no online claim form. Mail early to avoid a late postmark. Keep a copy until payments are issued.
- Check name, address and member information for accuracy.
- Sign and date the form.
- Mail it early enough for a Dec. 2, 2026 postmark.
- Keep a copy and proof of mailing for your records.
When will payments go out?

6, 2027 at 11:00 a.m. Payments await final approval and any appeals. Do not expect payment before the court completes that process.
