What Is the Case About?
The settlement resolves two consumer claims: that Fandango failed to timely disclose mandatory convenience fees on California theater ticket purchases, and that its FanClub memberships gave $10 monthly credits that expired after 30 days, allegedly violating California’s Gift Card Law.
Who Qualifies?
California consumers who paid a convenience fee on Fandango orders to CA theaters (June 11, 2020–June 17, 2024), and California/Washington consumers who bought FanClub memberships (October 7, 2024–April 16, 2025). You can be eligible for one or both classes.
How Much Can You Get?
- Convenience Fee Class: $3.25 in cash (claim form) or a $3.25 voucher (automatic)
- FanClub Class: a $7.50 voucher (automatic, no expiration)
