CompuCom Pay-Range Settlement Pays $266.67 Automatically; Nov. 13 Is Key

No claim form is needed in the CompuCom Washington job postings settlement: 2,626 job applicants identified from CompuCom’s records will be mailed an estimated $266.67 each if the court approves the deal. The one date to watch is November 13, 2026. It is the last day to opt out or object, and also the last day to change the mailing address or switch to an electronic payment, which matters for anyone who has moved since applying.

Status: Preliminarily approved, pending final approval | No claim form — payment is automatic | Opt out, object or update address by November 13, 2026 | Estimated $266.67 each

Who Gets a Check

The class covers people who, from January 1, 2023 through September 16, 2026, applied for a CompuCom Systems job opening in Washington State where the posting did not disclose a wage scale or salary range and a general description of benefits and other compensation.

Membership comes from CompuCom’s own applicant records. If you received the mailed or emailed notice, those records place you in the class. Nothing more is required to be paid. A person who opts out by November 13, 2026 leaves the class and receives nothing.

The Pay Transparency Claim

CompuCom is an IT services company. In Spencer v. CompuCom Systems, Inc., No. 25-2-05502-7 SEA, a job applicant claimed that its postings for Washington positions did not include the pay and benefits information required by Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, RCW 49.58.110. The complaint was filed in King County Superior Court on February 19, 2025.

The case was then paused while the Washington Supreme Court answered a certified question about the same law in Branson v. Washington Fine Wine & Spirits. It resumed after that decision became final in September 2025. CompuCom agreed to pay $1,000,000. It denies the claims, the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing, and the court has not decided whether the company violated the law. Judge Ken Schubert granted preliminary approval on September 16, 2026.

From $5,000 Sought to $266.67 Paid

The original complaint sought $5,000 in statutory damages for each class member under RCW 49.58.070. The settlement replaces those claims with an equal share of a “class fund”: the $1,000,000 total minus whatever the court approves for other uses.

Attorneys’ feesUp to $250,000 (to be requested)
Litigation costsUp to $5,000
Service award$15,000 for the named plaintiff
AdministrationCapped at $30,000
Class members2,626, per the settlement agreement

The settlement website estimates each share at $266.67. That figure can change. Any amount the court declines to award for fees, costs or the service award goes back into the class fund, and so does the money from anyone who opts out; both are shared among the class members who remain.

Stay In or Opt Out

Staying in means accepting the payment and giving up the right to bring your own claim against CompuCom over the same job postings. Opting out keeps that right but gives up the payment. The notice describes what an exclusion request or an objection must include, and the CompuCom Settlement website lays out each option.

The Optional Address Form

If the court grants final approval, each class member who did not opt out is mailed a check at the address the administrator has on file. The settlement website has an optional address-update and payment-selection form. It requires the LoginID and PIN printed on your notice and is used only to change a mailing address or switch from a paper check to an electronic payment. A class member who never uses it is still paid. The deadline for that form is the same November 13, 2026 date.

No payments have been made, and no payment date has been announced.
