Boone Health Portal Settlement: $20 Only If You Logged In, Claim by Nov. 9

The Boone Health privacy settlement turns on one action: logging into the Boone Health Patient Portal between April 1, 2021 and December 5, 2022. Missouri patients who did can claim a flat $20 and separately enroll in CyEx Privacy Shield Pro. Patients who only browsed Boone Health’s public website — even though the lawsuit’s allegations cover that site too — are outside the class. Claims close November 9, 2026, and the opt-out deadline comes a full month earlier.

Status: Claims open | Claim deadline November 9, 2026 | Opt out by October 9, 2026 | $20 flat cash + CyEx Privacy Shield Pro

Three Boxes You Must Check

The class is current and former Boone Health patients who live in Missouri and who logged into the Boone Health Patient Portal during the class window. All three conditions have to be true at once:

1. PatientYou are a current or former Boone Health patient.
2. Missouri residentYou reside in Missouri.
3. Portal loginYou signed into the Boone Health Patient Portal between April 1, 2021 and December 5, 2022.

Being a patient who never used the portal does not qualify. Neither does visiting the public Boone Health website without signing in. The people the settlement identified from its records are the patients who received a mailed notice carrying a Login ID and password.

What the Lawsuit Claims

The case is Doe v. Boone Health, Inc., Case No. 22AC-CC07646, in the Circuit Court of Cole County, Missouri. The defendants are Boone Health, Inc., doing business as Boone Health, and CH Allied Services, Inc., doing business as Boone Health and Boone Hospital Center — the Columbia, Missouri health system.

The plaintiffs allege that Boone Health placed third-party tracking technologies, such as the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, on its public website and its patient portal, and that those tools sent patients’ information to third parties without consent. Boone Health denies the allegations and any wrongdoing. The court has not decided the merits; the settlement resolves the claims without a finding either way.

Two Benefits, Two Separate Steps

The Boone Health patient portal settlement offers two things, and filing for one does not automatically deliver the other.

  • $20 cash. A flat amount for each class member who files a valid claim. The settlement describes it as a set amount per claim, not a slice of a fixed pool, so the number of people who file does not change it. No aggregate fund figure is stated.
  • CyEx Privacy Shield Pro. An identity and privacy protection product. Enrollment runs apart from the cash claim, under its own instructions that the settlement says are sent by email.

Anyone who wants both should file the $20 claim and then watch for the emailed Privacy Shield Pro enrollment instructions and act on them. Neither benefit is delivered until the court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved.

Your Notice Is Your Key

No receipts or medical records are required. What the online form does require is the Login ID and password printed on the notice mailed to class members. Without those credentials, the online claim form is closed to you.

Two fallbacks exist. A paper claim form is available from the settlement website as an alternative to filing online. And the official site’s contact page is the route for asking the administrator, Atticus Administration, for help with a lost Login ID or password. OpenClassActions cannot check the class list or look up credentials.

Why October 9 Comes First

Most readers will focus on the November claim date. But the opt-out deadline lands a month earlier, and it is the only way to keep the right to bring your own claim against Boone Health.

October 9, 2026Last day to exclude yourself (opt out). Opting out forfeits the $20 and Privacy Shield Pro.
November 9, 2026Last day to file a claim and last day to object.
December 1, 2026Final approval hearing, Circuit Court of Cole County, Missouri.

The notice lists dates only, with no time of day or time zone. Filing well before November 9 sidesteps any question about when on that day the cutoff falls.

Filing the Claim

Go to the official Boone Health settlement website. To file online, sign in with the Login ID and password from your notice, confirm your information and submit the claim for the $20 payment. To file on paper, download the claim form from the same site, complete it and send it so that it arrives by the deadline stated on the form.

After the December 1 hearing, the court may approve the settlement, ask for changes, or take the matter under advisement. If it approves and no appeal is filed, the administrator pays valid claims afterward. As of September 24, 2026, no final approval order had been entered and no payment date had been announced. The Boone Health settlement page on OpenClassActions.com follows the hearing outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

I browsed the Boone Health website but never used the patient portal. Am I in the class?

No. The class is defined by logging into the Boone Health Patient Portal between April 1, 2021 and December 5, 2022 while living in Missouri. Visiting the public website without logging in does not qualify, even though the lawsuit’s allegations also concern the public site.

Will the $20 go down if a lot of patients file?

The settlement describes the cash as a flat $20 per valid claim rather than a share of a fixed fund, so the number of claims does not change the stated amount. Payment still depends on final approval.

Does filing for the $20 enroll me in Privacy Shield Pro?

Not automatically. CyEx Privacy Shield Pro is a separate benefit with its own enrollment instructions, which the settlement says are sent by email. Filing the cash claim and enrolling in the product are two different steps.

I lost my notice. Can I still file?

The online form needs the Login ID and password from the mailed notice. A paper claim form is available on the official settlement website, and its contact page is the place to ask the administrator for help with lost credentials.

What is the last day to opt out?

October 9, 2026, a month before the November 9, 2026 claim and objection deadline. Opting out keeps your right to bring your own claim but gives up the settlement benefits.
