Are You Covered?

The class covers people who bought or leased a new 2023 or 2024 Transit Trail before June 1, 2024. You must have been the original owner or lessee. The vehicle must have been for personal, family, or household use.

Business, fleet, or resale purchases do not fit this description. Check your purchase or lease date and your original-owner status first. If you bought used, you are not included.

What Documents Do You Need?

According to OpenClassActions, each claim needs your vehicle VIN, proof of purchase or lease, a signed class-membership statement, and a completed IRS Form W-9 claim checklist. Your purchase or lease agreement should show the seller, buyer, VIN, and date. Other reliable proof may work if you no longer have that agreement.

You must sign the attestation under penalty of perjury. Complete the W-9 exactly as directed. Missing papers will delay or block payment.

How Do You Submit Your Claim?

Use the online form if you received a postcard with a Unique ID and PIN. Enter your contact details, VIN, and uploads for each required document. Submit a separate form for each qualifying vehicle. To file by mail, download, print, and complete the paper claim form.
