What did the settlement cover?

According to Macmoor Capital, the case combines a $100M CDK fund with a prior $29.5M Reynolds fund the Macmoor Capital case summary. That structure explains references to $129.5M in earlier dealer notices.

Eligibility centered on U.S. retail auto dealership rooftops. The test was whether the rooftop bought CDK and/or Reynolds DMS during the covered period.

When did the filing deadline pass?

MCAG Inc. reported that the administrator set Jan. 9, 2025 as the claim-filing deadline for payment from the combined funds.

Dealers needed a valid claim on file by that date. Fox Rothschild LLP warned in December 2024 that dealers who missed the deadline would receive no payment but would remain bound by the judgment the Fox Rothschild deadline alert. That rule left no general second chance for non-filers.

Did late claims keep filing open?

Class counsel later recommended acceptance of 221 late claims received by Nov. 14, 2025, within 7,373 total claims, according to the Declaration of Peggy Wedgworth the Wedgworth declaration in support of distribution. The request was limited post-deadline relief, not a reopened filing period.

On July 28, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted final distribution approval. Its order places the net settlement fund at $83,830,283 after fees and expenses from $129,750,000 paid in.

How will payments work?

The official settlement site states that the administrator will begin issuing approved-claim payments on Sept. 8, 2026. Payments therefore begin after the claims window has closed.

The DMS Antitrust Settlement FAQ says payments will issue as mailed checks to the rooftop address on each approved claim the DMS settlement FAQ. A dealer without an approved claim cannot newly file to join this payout. Remaining funds and tax refunds are reserved for a possible second distribution rather than new claims, according to the July 28, 2026 distribution order. Dealers should verify claim status with the administrator and keep rooftop addresses current.
