The lawsuit, Candelore v. Tinder, Inc., No. BC583162 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleged that Tinder charged users over age 29 (later lowered to over age 28) significantly higher prices for Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold subscriptions in California compared to younger users — for the identical service. Who Is Eligible?

Approximately 268,000 California residents who purchased Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold in California:

  • At any time on or after March 2, 2015, when they were over age 29, OR
  • At any time on or after March 2, 2016, when they were over age 28

How Much Can You Receive?

Pro-rata cash payments based on how much each person paid during the class period. Estimated individual payments range from $100 to $300+ depending on subscription spend. No claim form is required — eligible members are identified from Tinder’s records.
