Who Is Eligible?
You are included if you bought an X700, F200PRO, DC-M2-FG-IR, DC-M2-FG, or F70PRO in the United States. Your purchase must fall between January 25, 2019 and August 31, 2024.
Only U.S. purchases during that window qualify. If you bought more than one covered model, each camera can support a claim with proof.
What Will You Be Paid?
Thinkware agreed to create an $850,000 fund. It will pay valid claims from the net amount left after fees and costs. Those deductions include attorney fees up to 33.33%, $20,000 in costs, a $10,000 service award, and administration, according to the official settlement FAQs.
You will receive a pro rata cash share. That means the net fund is divided evenly based on the number of valid claims. Payment comes only after final court approval and the settlement effective date, according to the official settlement site.
How Do You File?
File online at TWCameraSettlement.com or mail a claim to Thinkware Claims Administrator, PO Box 1349, Baton Rouge, LA 70821. Submit or postmark by December 14, 2026, according to the court-authorized notice via PR Newswire. Match your claim to one of these cases.
Have your camera and papers nearby before you type. Keep a copy of what you send. A mailed claim needs the correct postmark, not just the correct address.
- Single camera without a claim ID: give product details and serial number.
- More than one camera: give proof of purchase for each camera.
- Mailed claim: use the Baton Rouge address and meet the postmark deadline.
What If You Do Nothing or Want Out?
You can opt out or object by November 30, 2026, according to the official settlement site. Doing nothing means no payment but you are still bound by the settlement release.
No money is available now because the court must still approve the deal, according to the official settlement FAQs. The Placer County Superior Court will hold its Final Fairness Hearing on January 12, 2027 at 8:30 a.m. in Roseville, California.
