Poultry Processing Wage-Fixing Settlement: How to File a Claim

To file a claim, submit a Participation Form online at www.PoultryWages.com or mail it to the settlement administrator before Aug. 31, 2026. If you already got a notice showing a compensation amount, update your contact and employment information instead of filing again. The case is Judy Jien v.

Perdue Farms Inc. in federal court in Maryland. It claims 18 poultry processors shared compensation data to suppress worker wages since 2000. Hagens Berman reports in its final approval update that the court granted final approval on June 5, 2025 to $398.05 million in processor settlements.

Who qualifies for payment?

The settlement class covers non-supervisory hourly workers at a U.S. poultry processing complex, plant, hatchery or feed mill from Jan. 1, 2000 to July 20, 2021.

Feedstuffs reported in June 2025 that workers for Pilgrim's and George's are covered from Jan. 1, 2009. Hourly processing, plant, hatchery and feed-mill work counts when the job and dates match. Supervisory work does not count, even at a covered facility.

Do you need to file a form?

Workers who received a mailed or emailed notice showing a compensation amount do not need to file a new claim. They should still update contact, employment and earnings information on the official site so payment reaches them.

Workers who did not receive a notice must submit a Participation Form to be counted. The official settlement site explains in its claim filing instructions that the form can be submitted online at www.PoultryWages.com or mailed to the administrator.

How do you file before August 31, 2026?

The court extended the participation deadline from June 30, 2026 to Aug. 31, 2026 to allow meaningful participation.

The court states in its order extending the claim deadline that forms received after Aug. 31, 2026 are late with no guaranteed payment.

  • Confirm your facility, job title and dates fall inside the class period.
  • Complete the Participation Form online or by mail with current address and employment details.
  • Submit before Aug. 31, 2026 and save proof of filing.

What can reduce or block your payment?

Only documented employment at a covered facility during the class period counts. A Wilson Sonsini analysis from Oct.

21, 2025 cautions that supervisors are excluded and late, incomplete or unverified forms can reduce or eliminate payment. Keep pay stubs, W-2s, offer letters or other employment records. Update your mailing address and check the official site if you move before payments go out.
