Nova Recovery Data Breach Settlement

Nova Recovery LLC (d/b/a Nova Recovery Center), a substance abuse treatment center, has reached a class action settlement after a cyberattack beginning on or around May 22, 2025 exposed patient and client personal information including Social Security numbers and financial payment data. Affected individuals may file a claim by May 12, 2026.

What Happened?

A targeted cyberattack on Nova Recovery LLC compromised sensitive personal information of patients and clients. The exposed data includes first, middle, and last names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and financial payment information related to services provided. The case is styled Glover v. Nova Recovery LLC, Case No. 25-2312-DCE, in the District Court of Hays County, Texas.

Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible if you are a U.S. resident whose personal information was compromised in the May 2025 data incident at Nova Recovery. This includes all individuals who received a notice letter from Nova Recovery about the breach.

What Benefits Are Available?

Eligible class members may choose from two options:

  • Option A: Cash reimbursement up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses (identity theft, fraud, credit monitoring fees, ID replacement, postage) incurred between May 22, 2025 and May 12, 2026
  • Option B: Flat $85 payment with no documentation required
  • All class members receive 3 years of credit monitoring through CyEx Financial Shield Total, which includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance
