Hyundai and Kia Vehicle Theft Multistate Settlement
Hyundai and Kia have reached a $9 million multistate settlement with 35 state attorneys general over the nationwide theft epidemic affecting millions of 2011–2022 vehicles sold without engine immobilizer technology — a basic industry-standard anti-theft feature. Theft victims may receive up to $4,500 for total loss or $2,250 for vehicle damage. File your claim by March 31, 2027.
What Is This Case About?
Hyundai and Kia sold millions of 2011–2022 model year vehicles without engine immobilizer technology, a basic anti-theft feature standard across the auto industry.
