Dapper Labs Data Privacy (VPPA) Settlement
Dapper Labs has reached a $5 million class action settlement over allegations that it shared users’ personally identifiable information with Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Microsoft, X, and Reddit via tracking pixels on its websites without consent, violating the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA). Affected individuals may file a claim by April 15, 2026.
What Is This Case About?
The lawsuit alleges that Dapper Labs installed third-party tracking pixels on its digital collectibles platforms that collected and transmitted users’ video viewing and purchasing data to advertising companies without users’ knowledge or consent. The VPPA prohibits companies from disclosing consumers’ video watching or purchasing activity to third parties.

How Much Can You Receive?
Eligible class members may receive up to $5 per claimant (pro rata). Payments will be made via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle approximately 75 days after final approval. As non-monetary relief, Dapper Labs must suspend all tracking pixels on pages where video purchase or viewing data is captured.
