Avanquest Software Subscription Fee Settlement
UC Distribution LLC and affiliated entities, including Avanquest Software SAS, have reached a $2.5 million class action settlement (de Rochemont v. UC Distribution LLC) over allegations that they enrolled California consumers in automatic-renewal software subscriptions without clearly disclosing the renewal terms, violating the California Automatic Renewal Law and Unfair Competition Law. The deadline to act is April 20, 2026.
What Is This Case About?
The lawsuit alleges that Avanquest and UC Distribution automatically renewed consumers’ software subscriptions without providing clear and conspicuous disclosures about the renewal terms, pricing, and cancellation procedures as required by California law. Affected products include ExpertPDF, inPixio, PC HelpSoft Driver Updater, PDF Architect, SodaPDF, and other Avanquest software titles.
Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible if you are a California resident who was charged for an Avanquest Software subscription between November 16, 2019 and August 31, 2025 and did not receive a full refund.
How Much Can You Receive?
Eligible class members will receive a pro-rata share of the settlement fund. No claim form is required — simply select your payment method using the WebID from your settlement notice.
