The lawsuit alleges that Catholic Health System embedded tracking pixels and analytics tools on its public website and MyChart patient portal that collected and transmitted sensitive patient information — including health conditions searched, appointments scheduled, and portal activity — to third-party advertising platforms like Meta (Facebook) and Google without patients’ knowledge or consent, violating privacy rights.

Who Is Eligible?

There are two eligible subclasses:

  • Subclass 1 (MyChart Portal Users): Patients who used the CHS MyChart patient portal between January 1, 2020 and December 11, 2025
  • Subclass 2 (All Other CHS Patients): Patients who visited CHS websites during the same period

What Benefits Are Available?

  • MyChart Portal Users (Subclass 1): Up to $20 cash payment
  • All Other CHS Patients (Subclass 2): 12 months of Dashlane Premium privacy monitoring (valued at approximately $96)
  • CHS is required to remove third-party trackers from its websites
