What Is the Case About?
The lawsuit alleges the design of the Permobil SpeedControl Dial could allow the SmartDrive MX2+ power-assist motor to activate without user input, creating a safety risk for wheelchair users. Permobil agreed to a $4.1 million settlement. The settlement does not mean the defendants did anything wrong.
